Boston Cup 2006 International Rhythmic Gymnastics Competition Hosted by Rhythmic Dreams

Newton Upper Falls, MA (PRWEB) February 3, 2006

Rhythmic Dreams will host the Fourth Annual Boston Cup, a major international Rhythmic Gymnastics competition, at the Newton South High School Field House in Newton, Massachusetts, on Feb. 24 26, 2006.

Gathering this year over 200 gymnasts from 8 countries and from all over the United States, the Boston Cup has become a major competitive Rhythmic Gymnastics event worldwide, the only competition of its kind that is preceded by a week-long international training camp.

In addition to U. S. athletes from more than 25 different teams, top rhythmic gymnasts from Bulgaria, Canada, the Czech Republic, Great Britain, Romania, Russia, and Spain will also attend this prestigious competition. The Senior division will include Jennifer Colino, Spains contender who placed 17th at the 27th Rhythmic Gymnastics World Championship in 2005, seven time national champion of Argentina Anahi Sosa, and U.S. National Team member Tracy Ageman. Forty top athletes from 8 countries will compete in the Junior division, including gymnast Reba Daniels from the U. S. National Team and Rhythmic Dreams’ own Ada Moisescu, who won the gold medal at last year’s Boston Cup.

This prestigious competition will be the culmination of a unique week-long International Training Camp where athletes of all ages and skill levels will train together with coaches of international renown.

The All Around competition will take place on Friday (Levels 5, 9, 10) from 2 – 9 PM, Saturday (Levels 7, 10) from 8 AM 6:30 PM, and Sunday (Level 3, 4, 6, 8) from 8 AM – 1 PM. The Level 9 and 10 event Finals and Gala Exhibition will take place on Sunday from 2 PM 5:30 PM. Admission for the public is $ 10 for adults and $ 4 for children (age 3-14), each day.

Rhythmic Gymnastics, a most beautiful sport for women, became an Olympic sport in 1984. It combines grace and flexibility with athletic skills and small apparatus handling in routines choreographed to music. Rhythmic gymnasts use the ball, hoop, rope, clubs or ribbon in breathtaking combinations of throws and catches while executing leaps, turns, and flexibility moves.

Rhythmic Dreams offers classes in Rhythmic Gymnastics for all levels as well as a full day Summer program. To find out more about the sport and details about this event, please visit: http://www.bostoncup.com, http://www.rhythmicdreams.com or call 617-233-4493.
