Alexandra Iorgulescu proudly announces that she has been selected as the ARTIST OF THE MONTH! at PosterLounge, a German Company based in Leipzig, which specializes in the printing, selling & promotion of high quality prints and canvas, showcasing the works of top notch, hand- picked vector illustrators from all over the World.

These prints are targeted at modern living spaces, not only private ones, but bars, clubs, lounge areas, restaurants and such as well, since most depict scenes related to the Music, Entertainment and Fashion Industries.

Alexandra Iorgulescu was born on January 1977, in Buenos Aires, Argentina. As with most designers and illustrators, she has been interested in art for as long as she can remember. One of her favorite things growing up was attending this great art workshop for kids, probably where Alexandra learnt the basics about colors, shapes, textures. At age 18, she got herself into College to study Graphic Design, and its no wonder that the subject in which she excelled was not Graphic Design itself, but Illustration.

Alexandra Iorgulescu comes from a traditional pencil and charcoal background, although nowadays hardly ever uses them, since she’s a lot more attracted and committed to vector illustration.

Alexandra has always admired Andy Warhol for the simplicity yet eye-catching power of his work. Strongly believes that 40 years later, we can still move along these same ideas: clean lines, few colors, almost a minimalist approach to art, which is enough to convey the message we want to transmit.

Needless to say, Alexandra is drawn to modern minimalist architecture and interior design as well. Inspiration is all around her: movies, photography, fashion, nature, musicAs she very well puts it: “I just like to capture the essence of what Im looking at and transmit it in my work”. “Four years ago, on February 2002, I left Argentina, and moved to Los Angeles, California. Like many foreigners in a new place, I have to say that you leave your country, but its habits, culture, vibe…they are and will be always with you. I like to think that all that will be in some way reflected in my art, and possibly make it richer and more interesting for the viewer!”
