"The Latin Hurricane – Chayanne, releases his first DVD and a new English CD”

Dubbed “The Latin Hurricane” (PRWEB) October 10, 2002 -

Miami, Fla. –out concert after another, Puerto Rican singing star, Chayanne, has launched his first, long-awaited DVD. At the same time, he is taking an important step into the Anglo pop music market with a new single — the English version of his hit song, “Y Tu Te Vas”(“You Walk Away”).

The DVD of his latest “Grandes Exitos” (Greatest Hits) album was released in the United States on September 17th, and is currently being released in Mexico, Argentina, and other important global markets over the next few weeks. Like the album, it contains a compilation of videos of Chayanne’s best hits of the past, 13 videos in all.

Long awaited by thousands of fans the world over, the DVD also contains an interview, photo gallery, biography, discography and “behind the scenes” looks at the star, and other high points of his 22 year career as an entertainer. The DVD is a production of Sony Music International/LAR-Miami DVD’s. It is currently available in music outlets across the country and on the Internet including Wherehouse Music, Amazon.com, Best Buy, and CDNOW.com. Grandes Exitos DVD is also available in VHS form at the same outlets.

Chaf Enterprises, Chayanne’s management company located in Miami, Fla., also announced that he has recorded the English version of his Latin hit, “Y Tu Te Vas”, a single that was a chart-topper across the country for 21 weeks and has been on the Top 10 list for 30 weeks, on the Billboard Hot Latin Tracks. It’s the opening song on his Grandes Exitos album, which also includes two other new songs, “Quisiera Ser” (“He Wanted To Be”) and “Torero” (“The Bullfighter”), currently holding down the top selling slot in many Latin countries today.

To be released by Sony Discos to the American mainstream, Anglo, radio stations within the next few weeks, the new English single, titled You Walk Away will mark Chayanne’s first totally non-Hispanic pop entry since beginning his musical career as a child star singing with the Latin group, Los Chicos (The Boys). Lauded as being one of the best Latin pop performers of today, the dynamic singer has more than 50 gold and 20 platinum Spanish albums already to his credit.

In the midst of his 5-month long “World Tour 2002” (following a highly successful 10-city appearance schedule in the U.S.), Chayanne was asked recently in Spain, why he feels the need to record in English. The 34-year-old star said, ” No, it’s not that it is needed, but it is important to embrace more languages, to extend to more markets. I have also recorded in Italian, French and in Portuguese…to sing in English I see like an expansion of my career.”

Chayanne, this darkly handsome, muscular, singer/actor/dancer is best known in the U.S. for making a big splash with his steamy starring role in the 1998 Columbia Pictures film, “Dance With Me”, (Bailar Conmigo) co-starring the beautiful Vanessa L. Williams and the former singer-turned-actor, Kris Kristofferson. Reruns on cable TV brought even more Anglo fans to his court. This is true especially on the Internet where there are three major web sites of fans, Chayfans.org, Islachayanne.org and Cafechayanne.com, dedicated to spreading the word about their idol and his career, in addition to a Sony Discos site.

Chayanne was also highly praised last season, when he appeared in two episodes of the popular Fox TV series, Ally McBeal. He thrilled his Hispanic fans last season, by starring in a soap opera, novela series,”Provocame” (“You Provoke Me”) on Latin television in many different countries around the world. In addition, he was recently nominated for the Top Male Singer of the Year award for “Y Tu Te Vas,” in the “Los Premios Oye,” ( What You Hear Award or The Best Sound Award ) to be given out on Nov. 26, by the Mexican Association of Producers of Fonogramas, (AMPROFON) and CIE, a television spectacles company.

When Chayanne completes his world tour in the fall, he is expected to return to the recording studio to produce a new crossover album, this one containing several songs in English.

Bruno Sanfilippo music Suite Patagonia Is dedicated to the incredible histories that harboured the lands of the Patagonia, south of Argentina. The Cacique Sayhueque, the Patagonian Giant’s myth, the admiration of the colonists before an unknown fauna, the contact between the native ones and Magellan’s men, curious histories that touch with the magic and the fantasy, full with myths fed by old conquerors, scanners and adventurers. The colourful autochthonous instrumentation with aboriginal songs, sounds of the southern fauna, the European vision of a time, of a place, of numberless histories and legends.

On June 2000, is released my fourth album; “Suite Patagonia”. A tribute in which I also used autochthonous instruments, aborigines chants and sounds from the southern fauna. Bruno Sanfilippo

TARRIII featuring ‘Timberland Dread’ Releases 3rd CD "Work Hard"

Westchester, NY (PRWEB) July 29, 2005

Jawwbone Records, a subsidiary of Tarriii Music & graphics, Inc., has announced the release of the third reggae CD from the talented group TARRIII called “Work Hard.”

TARR3 (aka “the Timberland Dread” by many for his portrayal of the taxi driver “who’s seen it all” in the Timberland brand commercial called For the Journey) is the featured singer, songwriter, musician, and producer. He is joined by Njoa, TARRIII’s other half, to round out the sound with sweet vocals and songwriting on this refreshing reggae and world music CD. TARR3, originally hailing from Black River Jamaica, and raised in White Plains, NY, collaborates here with Njoa, from Greenwich, CT on their second CD.

“Work Hard” is an eclectic mix: featuring largely original tunes with melodies to be remembered; rhythms that make you groove; and lyrics that will be new “classics” about life, love and wonders. The word is spreading about two of the best covers you are likely to hear. One is reggae rhythmic version of the 1970′s Kansas classic, “Dust in the Wind;” and the other, the CD’s lead song “Come Rain Come Shine,” blends jazz and reggae. “Dust in the Wind” is already a featured song on radio in the New York metropolitan area and Atlanta and has been requested by avid listeners, especially after hearing the band perform it live at the White Plains, NY, Juneteenth Celebration on June 11th.

“Work Hard” also features reggae legend Chuck Turner, singer of hits – “I Need You,” “Run Around Girl,” and “Tears;” Ragga Lox, up and coming reggae artists known for his powerful tunes such as “Bright Lights Big City;” reggae dj legend Jim Nastic; Scari, who with a timely song, “War A Gwaun;” and Runako Flax who completes the set with his saxophone solo, recorded months before his tragic drowning accident off the coast of Ghana, August 2004.

TARRIII has two prior releases, In Dis Time in 1996 and One Bad released in 2001 both with songs that have been climbing the Amazon.com charts for music downloads. Talk about consistent: TARRIII has had 8 to 10 songs featured in the Top 100 Reggae downloads on Amazon for the past 3 months. ‘King Selassie’ released on One Bad shot up to #7 from #26 after TARRIII played this as the opening song at the Juneteenth festival.

TARRIII’s music has crossed borders and generations and the fan base continues to grow worldwide. TARRIII’s dance mix of their original ‘You Say You Try’ from the One Bad CD was ranked #1 – #3 on India’s darvazeymusic website for 16 continuous months. Fans from Italy to Poland, Argentina to Britain, and the Philippines to the USA have all appreciated the powerful and meaningful vibes from the music of TARRIII.

“Work Hard” is available for purchase online – check our website http://www.tarriii.com. Also available at a select group of Tower Records locations including.
